We’ve all heard of Virtual Learning or VR and most of us have heard of it in a learning content. But the terms VR and Virtual Reality, while descriptive, have some baggage. Most of us think of it as something that is expensive and maybe designed for gaming. So the industry has come up with a better term that focuses on what the technology enables, rather than the technology itself: Immersive Learning.
Immersive Learning refers to experiences that use truly “Authentic Practice” in their approach. This form of “real-world practice,” which has been validated in hundreds of studies, and has been proven to create “muscle memory” in a way that no other learning experience can.
