Artificial intelligence (AI) has exploded into our lives recently. After 45 years of research, computer scientists have developed systems that can talk to us, classify photos, and create images, as well as analyze, modify, and author video and audio content. We created the AI in HR course to help you prepare for both the present and future impacts of AI in your work. As with any new technology, there’s a massive amount of hype, confusion, trepidation, and even fear, around the expanded access and usage of AI.

Course Overview

At The Josh Bersin Company, we have been studying the role of these technologies in HR and L&D for years, and we’ve found that the impact has been, and will continue to be, massive. AI will change our business in fundamental ways, making it faster and easier to do much of our most time-consuming work.

In this course, we will begin by digging into the basics of AI, exploring what our economies look like at this crucial turning point, and what AI technologies may mean for the future of work. We’ll then look at the impact of AI on some of HR's core businesses: talent acquisition, learning & development, talent mobility, and talent intelligence. We’ll examine how AI will create more speed and efficiency in core HR processes that have been time consuming in the past. And we’ll consider how that efficiency can elevate our human-powered roles in HR. Along the way, we will give you a glimpse into the rapidly changing and expanding vendor landscape.

The aim of this course is to give you a primer for the many AI conversations you’re having (or will be having soon) so that you are comfortable, informed, and excited to be a part of solutioning in your organization.

Field Manuals

The AI in HR course is made up of 5 Field Manuals (our version of an online module). Each one contains a variety of types of content and social exercises culminating in a mini-project, reflection, or debate. Each Field Manual will take you between 30-45 minutes to complete but you can jump on and off at your own pace, as often as you’d like. The deeper learning happens in the discussions with your fellow learners so be sure to check in on the conversations regularly.
