Workforce Generations
“Workforce generations” represent generic groupings of age cohorts in the workplace. With longer careers and longer life spans, multiple generations co-exist in the workforce. The generations that are primarily active in the current workforce are listed below:
Baby Boomers: born between 1946 and 1964
Generation X: born between 1965 and 1981
Generation Y (Millennials): born between 1982 and 1997
Generation Z: born between 1997 and today
