Work Models
The term "work models" refers to how organizations operate and organize their work environments to get work done. Work models establish when, where, and how employees work, and how they interact with one another. Traditional work models center around jobs to determine physical location, schedules, flexibility, and collaboration. These are often rigid, and the focus is on stability and predictability, with employees typically working within the same role for extended periods. Dynamic organizations in contrast, center work models around the most important opportunities or projects rather than specific jobs or fixed roles. The focus is on flexibility, agility, and the ability to quickly align people and skills to changing business needs.
