“Saas” (software as a service) is a cloud-based approach to software licensing and delivery. In HR, most platforms and solutions are delivered via the cloud, and companies access solutions using a “thin client;” for example, a web browser or mobile device. Benefits to the SaaS model include reduced need for onsite IT infrastructure, lower implementation and operating costs, flexibility of configuration and integration, and fast access to updates and service.
