Request for Proposal (RFP)

A “Request for proposal” (RFP) is a business document that defines a project to be undertaken by an organization or agency and solicits bids from qualified, third-party contractors for its completion. RFPs are typically created in the early stages of the procurement process and outline the business and technical requirements of the desired solution. In HR, the RFP process is often used to select new technology solutions to deliver employee services such as performance management tools, learning content, or core HR systems.
