Digital Transformation

 “Digital transformation” refers to the organizational transformation of business models, operating models, and technologies to provide services to customers in digital format. For example, retailers transformed their offering to not only sell in brick-and-mortar stores but also online. 

Retailers like Amazon do not own brick and mortar stores, but Target and Walmart had to transform to provide both experiences to their customers. 

Beyond the delivery of products and services, digital transformation also involves new jobs and roles, new skills and capabilities, and a different cultural and leadership approach.
