Change Management
“Change management” refers to the cumulative practices and processes that organizations adopt to help individuals and teams adapt new procedures, policies, technologies, and more, and respond to change overall. Traditional change management approaches were built around a notion of managing change in a linear process, as a “sibling” to project management. However, in today’s constantly changing business world, change management needs to evolve from a sibling of project management to a design discipline that nudges people to adopt new behaviors and transform their work. We refer to this new way of change management as “change agility”—an approach that enables organizations to become change-enabled and always ready for change. The more change ready an organization is, the faster it will respond and thrive today.
