Blended Learning

“Blended learning” refers to the mix between online learning (which can be self-study, live, or cohort-based) and face-to-face learning in a classroom. Today, most high-fidelity programs use online learning as a prerequisite, then provide face-to-face experiences, and then followed by self-study, reflection, and ongoing resources. In The Blended Learning Book, author Josh Bersin describes four models for blended learning, based on different approaches to mixing self-study with classroom experiences. https://www.amazon.com/Blended-Learning-Book-Practices-Methodologies/dp/0787972967

Research clearly shows that self-study learning can be very valuable for information and technical understanding, but exercises, two-way feedback, and collaboration are critical to build deep skills or share understanding with others. We highly recommend blended programs for any high-impact learning program.
